What the manufacturer publishes

Effortless tire changing, easing mounting and removal. A clamping function so the lever can be clipped into a spoke, holding the tire bead. An integrated SV (Presta) valve key as an additional feature. Suitability for all bike types — road, mountain bike and e-bike.

The spoke clip, which is the whole design

Removing a tight tire with two loose levers means holding one in place with your thumb while working the other, and losing the whole thing when your thumb slips. A lever that clips onto a spoke stays where you put it. It converts a two-person job into a one-person one.

The valve core key

An unusually useful addition. Removing a Presta valve core is needed for injecting tubeless sealant through the valve, and the tool for it is small, cheap and always missing. Having it molded into a lever means it is in the saddle bag.

What is not in the box

Patches and rubber solution. This is a lever set. The VeloChampion and Unitec in this hub are the actual repair kits.

What is the spoke clip for?

You hook the lever under the bead, then clip its other end onto a spoke. That holds that section of bead off the rim while you work the next lever along, which is how one person removes a tight tire.

Are plastic levers strong enough?

For most tires, yes. A very tight tubeless bead can snap a thin plastic lever — and metal levers can damage a rim edge. Match the lever to the wheels you own rather than buying the strongest available.
