LEMEGO’s mount takes the opposite approach to every clamp in this hub: enclose the phone rather than grip it.

What the manufacturer publishes

Wide compatibility up to 7-inch devices. A newly designed fastening system with concealed components. Water-repellent construction from wear-resistant, durable material, with a rain cover. A transparent, highly sensitive TPU cover allowing touchscreen use without removing the phone.

The case for a bag

A clamp holds a phone by its edges and exposes the screen, the ports and the camera to rain, road spray and grit. A bag keeps all of it out. On a winter commute or a wet tour that is a materially different proposition.

It also holds things — keys, a card, a spare tube — which a clamp does not.

The costs

Bulk on the handlebar, where space competes with a light, a bell and a computer. And touch precision: a TPU window works for tapping and swiping and is noticeably less accurate than glass.

The waterproofing language

“Water-repellent” with a supplied rain cover is an honest description rather than a waterproof claim. In sustained rain, use the cover.

Availability

No such listing: the American Amazon shop answers the reference with a search box rather than a page.

The questions riders ask

Does the touchscreen work through the window?

LEMEGO states a transparent, highly sensitive TPU cover. Touch through a film works and is slightly less precise than direct contact — enough for tapping a map, less so for typing.

Is it fully waterproof?

The manufacturer describes it as water-repellent and supplies a separate rain cover, which is a different statement from waterproof. In sustained rain, fit the cover.
