Two cages for the price of one aluminum one, and a construction that suits varied bottles.

What the manufacturer publishes

Robust and light, made from high-quality PC material described as durable and light. Universal compatibility, with the flexible material allowing optimal adaptation to a variety of bottles. Secure fastening through a curved design and multi-point contact. Practical use, allowing a bottle to be inserted and removed while riding.

Why polycarbonate flexes usefully

A molded plastic cage spreads slightly as a bottle is pushed in and springs back. That means one cage grips a standard cycling bottle, a slightly wider reusable bottle and an insulated one — where a rigid cage holds one of the three properly.

Multi-point contact

The alternative to gripping a bottle at one point near the top. Contact at several points along the bottle distributes the hold, which is what stops a bottle bouncing out on a rough descent.

Buying two

Most frames have bosses on the down tube and on the seat tube. Two cages means both are usable, which matters on any ride over an hour, and it costs less than two singles.

The questions riders ask

Does it fit different bottle sizes?

Rose Kuli states that the flexible material adapts to a range of bottle diameters. Standard cycling bottles are close in size; the variation is with insulated bottles and reusable water bottles, which are often wider.

Plastic or aluminum?

Plastic flexes and grips a range of sizes; aluminum can be bent to adjust and is slightly more durable in a crash. Neither is clearly better — plastic is the more forgiving choice for mixed bottles.
