SKS’s Anywhere Topcage solves the problem every other cage in this hub ignores: what if the frame has no mounts?

What the manufacturer publishes

A cage that lives up to its name, mountable in a range of positions. A plastic cage described as an all-rounder suiting trekking and other bikes. Adjustable, with straps for tube diameters up to 80 mm (3.15 in) supplied. Made in Germany, like almost all SKS products.

The frames that have no bosses

More than you would expect. Small frames often drop one set. Full-suspension mountain bikes frequently have room for none. Folding bikes rarely have any. Older frames sometimes have none at all.

A strapped cage turns any tube into a mounting point, which also means a second or third bottle on a bike that only has one set of bosses.

Where else it goes

Fork legs, on a gravel or bikepacking setup. A seatpost. Even handlebars. The 80 mm (3.15 in) strap range is generous enough to cover a fat down tube.

The trade

A bolted cage does not move. A strapped one has a small amount of give, and the straps need checking occasionally. That is the price of mounting somewhere the frame designer did not intend.

The questions riders ask

Where can I mount it?

SKS supplies straps for tube diameters up to 80 mm (3.15 in), which covers down tubes, seat tubes, seatposts, fork legs and handlebars. That is what "Anywhere" refers to.

Do I still need bosses?

No. That is the entire point — a great many small frames, full-suspension bikes and folding bikes have no bottle mounts, and this is the cage that works on them.
