Aoreun 12-piece cleaning brush set vs LEWBDF 11-piece cleaning set with wire brush

Which brush set, when neither includes any fluid?

Both of these are brushes and cloths, and neither includes a cleaner or a degreaser. That is the same trade in both cases, so the question is simply which shapes each set covers.

Which of the two, for which rider

12-piece cleaning brush set

No amazon.com listing was found for this one. We hold references for other markets but none for the United States, so it may not be buyable here — which is the first thing to weigh against anything below.

The broader set of soft brushes, with coral fleece cloths rather than a single towel — and the two chain brushes are worth having for a reason that is not obvious: one gets used with degreaser and stays oily forever, the other stays for soapy water. It is listed on four markets rather than six.

11-piece cleaning set with wire brush

The set with the hub brush and the wire brush, which are two shapes the Aoreun does not name. A wire brush is for rust on steel components rather than for the frame — used on paint or on an alloy rim it does damage rather than cleaning.

The questions riders ask

Do I still need a degreaser?

Yes. Neither kit includes any fluid, and a chain needs a solvent rather than a soap — car shampoo and washing-up liquid will not shift chain grease from between the rollers where the wear happens.

Why two chain brushes?

So one can be kept for degreaser and one for soapy water. Mixing them puts drivetrain grease onto the frame, which is the mess you were trying to remove.

Where should a wire brush not go?

On paint, on carbon, on alloy rims and anywhere near a disc rotor. It is for rust on steel, and on anything else it is a scratch.
