A cage is a simple thing, and this is the simple version done properly.

What the manufacturer publishes

Light aluminum with a 6 mm (0.24 in) diameter. A plain, sporty black design suiting almost any frame. Simple mounting using standard bosses, compatible with common frames. A stable shape guaranteeing a secure seat for the bottle with no rattling.

The measurement that actually decides

Not the cage — the frame. Standard bottle bosses are two threaded holes 64 mm (2.52 in) apart, and almost every frame with mounts uses them. What varies is the space between the bosses and the top tube, and on a small frame that gap can be too short to lift a bottle out of a top-entry cage.

That is the reason side-entry cages exist, and it is worth measuring before assuming any cage will work.

Aluminum wire against molded plastic

A wire cage can be bent slightly to adjust its grip — tighter for rough ground, looser if a bottle is hard to remove. A molded cage cannot. It is a small, genuinely useful difference.

The questions riders ask

Will it fit my frame?

It uses the standard bottle boss spacing found on almost every frame with mounts. If your frame has two threaded holes on the down tube or seat tube, it fits.

Can I adjust the grip?

An aluminum wire cage can be bent very slightly to tighten or loosen its hold on a bottle. A molded plastic cage cannot, which is a real advantage of this construction.
