Inovida AirTag holder for bottle cage mounts review

A concealed AirTag holder that mounts under or in place of a bottle cage, in ABS, supplied with two 25 mm (0.98 in) M5 screws and an Allen key.

Our conclusion The cheapest way to hide a tag on a bike. Understand what a crowd-network tag does before treating it as theft protection.

Inovida’s holder is the least expensive way to conceal a tracking tag on a bicycle, and it hides it well.

What the manufacturer publishes

A light, unobtrusive case for an Apple AirTag, including screws and an Allen key. Concealment under a bottle cage so a thief does not see it. Dimensions of 8.4 × 3.9 × 1.1 cm (3.3 × 1.5 × 0.4 in). Weatherproof and robust ABS material. Two 25 mm (0.98 in) M5 screws in black plus the tool. Installation under or in place of any common bottle cage.

What a crowd-network tag actually does

This is worth being clear about, because the category name is misleading. An AirTag has no GPS and no SIM. It reports its position only when another phone in the relevant network passes close enough to hear it. In a busy city that happens constantly; on an empty road it does not happen at all.

That makes it a recovery aid in populated areas, and nothing at all in the countryside. It is not a deterrent and it does not prevent theft.

Why the bottle cage position works

It is under something, it is not on the frame where a hand runs, and it is the last place a thief checks. Under the saddle and inside the fork steerer are the other two common hiding places, both represented elsewhere in this hub.

What we rate and what we flag

Strengths

  • The cheapest concealment here, and it hides in a place nobody looks
  • Screws and the tool are supplied, so nothing else is needed
  • Mounts under an existing cage, so you do not lose the bottle mount

Compromises

  • The AirTag itself is not included and costs several times the holder
  • Not listed on the US or British markets
  • A crowd-network tag only reports when someone else's phone passes it

The questions riders ask

Is the AirTag included?

No. Inovida supplies the holder, screws and Allen key; the tag is a separate purchase and costs considerably more than the mount.

Does it replace my bottle cage?

It can mount under an existing cage or in place of one. Mounting under the cage is the point — the tag is invisible and the bottle mount still works.

What buyers actually choose

Amazon reports what buyers took in the month before this page was last checked: at least 50.

The figure is a floor, rounded by Amazon, and read through Keepa — it says what buyers picked, not what a maker claims.
