DANSI

Lights and pumps at the top of the sales charts

DANSI appears twice on this site and both products are at the top of their categories by sales.

Where it appears here

An StVZO-declared battery light set at 30/15 lux, and the Basic track pump at 60 cm (23.6 in).

What it is genuinely good at

Practical detail at a low price. The light set has a battery-level indicator, which exists precisely because a battery light gives less warning than a rechargeable one. The pump has a manually adjustable target marker on the gauge, which turns a weekly pressure check from a reading into a visual match.

Height on the pump. Sixty centimeters is chosen so the pump is worked with body weight over the handle rather than with the back. Over a family’s worth of tires every week, that is the difference between a chore and a non-event.

Where it is ordinary

The pump publishes no maximum pressure figure. For city and touring tires that is unlikely to matter; for road tires at 7 or 8 bar it is worth confirming.

What to know before buying

The light set runs on replaceable batteries rather than USB. That is a genuine choice rather than a limitation — a flat light is solved with a shop rather than a charger — but it is a running cost.
