Creep and adhesion together

These pull in opposite directions and both matter. Creep is how well the oil flows into the gaps inside the rollers, which is where the metal actually wears. Adhesion is how well it stays there once the chain is running at speed with water and grit hitting it.

An oil with creep and no adhesion washes out; one with adhesion and no creep never gets inside. Naming both is a more substantial claim than “long lasting”.
