The whole sequence in one box, and not one volume stated
Finish Line Wash, degreaser and dry lube, 3 bottles
A three-bottle dry-weather kit with Super Bike Wash, Speed Degreaser and Dry Lube, covering wash, degrease and lubricate.
What you are getting
A three-bottle kit: Super Bike Wash, Speed Degreaser and Dry Lube. $34.95.
It is the whole sequence, in the order this shelf describes it
Three products, three jobs, and the order matters:
- Super Bike Wash — the whole bike, frame included. That is the frame cleaner half of this shelf’s tag
- Speed Degreaser — the drivetrain, down to bare metal. That is the degreaser half
- Dry Lube — the chain afterwards, “goes on wet and dries clean”
The tag on this shelf is that a frame cleaner and a drivetrain degreaser are not the same product. This kit buys both, plus the lubricant that has to follow them, which is the one thing a degreaser always leaves you needing.
Two of the three are sold separately on this site
The Speed Degreaser is reviewed on this page at $14.95 for 532 ml, and the Dry Lube on the lubricants page at $16.74 for 237 ml.
That is $31.69 for two of the three, against $34.95 for all three. So the Super Bike Wash costs about $3.26 inside the kit — assuming the kit’s bottles are the same sizes as the individual ones, which the listing does not say.
No volumes are published for any of the three. That is the gap: a kit of three unstated bottle sizes cannot be properly compared with three known ones, and kits are often supplied in smaller bottles than the standalone products.
Ask before buying. If the bottles are full size, the kit is good value by roughly the price of the bike wash.
“Dry weather”, which is a real restriction
The kit is named for it: Dry Weather. The lubricant inside is the Dry Lube, and the Finish Line listing for that product on this site says it is for “dry, dirty, dusty environments, yet it holds up well in moderately wet conditions”.
So this is a summer kit. A bike ridden through winter wants a wet lube — the WD-40 Specialist Wet on the lubricants page of this site is the one in this survey — and the wash and degreaser in this kit would serve that bike just as well.
Everything else on the listing is about the brand
“Trusted Since 1988… Finish Line products have delivered pro-level results for over 35 years — trusted by mechanics, racers, and cycling enthusiasts worldwide.” That is the fifth bullet.
The second and fourth describe outcomes: cutting through grime, preventing premature wear and corrosion. The useful bullets are the first and the third, which say what is in the box and what the lubricant is for.
What is not published
No volume for any of the three bottles, no solvent, no citrus statement — where two products on this page make one — no VOC figure, and no indication of whether the bottles are the full-size versions. For a kit assembled from products that are individually well documented, publishing none of their volumes is the one avoidable failing.
