Bike locks
Key or combination?
Same format, same published length, same price bracket. The difference is a failure mode: a key can be lost or left at home, and a combination can be watched being entered.

A tick marks the better answer on that line only. Counting ticks does not decide the page — the two verdicts below do, because these products answer different questions.
The best-selling lock on this site, and three keys rather than two is the detail worth having — a lost key on a two-key lock leaves you one mistake from a cut lock. A frame bracket is included, so the lock travels on the bike rather than in a bag.
The lock for a household where more than one person rides the bike. No key to lose, none to copy, and none to leave at home. MIVELO publishes a self-assigned security level of 08/10, which is not a certification and does not map onto ART, ADFC or any independent scheme — we report it as a manufacturer statement.
They fail differently rather than one being simply better. A combination can be observed being entered; a key can be lost, copied or left behind. Neither is a substitute for the lock body being strong enough.
It depends entirely on the stand you use. Measure around the frame, the rear wheel and the post together — that figure decides it, not the lock's own dimensions. The TITANLOCK in this hub is 100 cm (39.4 in) if you need more.
Neither names an independent scheme. If your insurance policy names one — several do — the TITANLOCK states ART certification and the KOHLBURG states an ADFC recommendation.
