milKit

Sealant that does not clump

milKit’s sealant is specified around two problems that standard latex formulas have.

Where it appears here

Tubeless sealant in a one-liter bottle.

What it is genuinely good at

Not clumping. Standard latex sealant dries into solid rubber lumps that roll around inside the tire, add weight, and have to be peeled out before new sealant goes in. A non-clumping formula removes an entire maintenance chore.

Publishing a low-temperature figure. Sealants thicken and eventually stop flowing as temperature drops, which means a winter puncture may not seal. Almost no manufacturer publishes a limit. milKit states −20 °C.

A non-allergenic formulation, which matters for anyone sensitive to natural latex when handling a tire during a repair.

Where it is ordinary

No maximum hole size published, where Muc-Off in the same hub states 6 mm (0.24 in). That is the figure that tells you whether a cut will seal or need a plug.

A liter is also more than one bike needs.

What to know before buying

Sealant is a consumable with a service interval, not an installation. It dries out over months whether or not it has sealed anything, and a tire with dry sealant is protecting nothing while looking identical from outside.
