Turn-by-turn routing is what separates a computer from a speedometer · review
Wahoo Fitness ELEMNT BOLT V3 review
A computer built around automatic synchronization: routes download from connected accounts on their own, workouts upload the same way, and LEDs signal turns and notifications.
Our conclusion The one to buy if you live in Komoot or Ride with GPS. The automatic sync removes an entire step from every ride.
The ELEMNT BOLT V3 is built around the idea that the computer should not be a device you manage.
What the manufacturer publishes
On-device navigation with turn instructions, generated automatically for routes and file types including GPX and TCX. Automatic route downloads and workout uploads with connected accounts — Strava, Ride with GPS, Bike Split, Komoot, MTB Project, SingleTracks. On-device route generation by selecting a location on the map. Smart notifications with on-screen popups and LED indicators for calls, texts, emails and messages.
Why the automatic sync matters
The usual workflow is: plan a route, export a file, connect a cable or a phone, transfer, find it on the device. Wahoo’s is: plan a route, get on the bike. On a unit used several times a week that removes a step that is small individually and tedious cumulatively.
The corollary is that the value is tied to using those services. If you plan on paper and ride from memory, this unit is not doing what you are paying for.
The LEDs
A strip along the top edge that signals turns and notifications with color and position. It is genuinely readable in peripheral vision, which a small screen is not.
What is not published
A battery life figure on this listing. In a hub where one competitor states fifty hours, that absence is worth confirming with the seller.

The value depends on using the connected services it integrates with

What buyers actually choose
Amazon reports what buyers took in the month before this page was last checked: at least 500.
The figure is a floor, rounded by Amazon, and read through Keepa — it says what buyers picked, not what a maker claims.

3.5" touch · 50 h battery · offline Europe map · ANT+/BLE
The longest-running computer here by a wide margin — fifty hours stated — with a 3.5-inch touchscreen, offline European maps and turn-by-turn navigation.
Best for: Multi-day touring and long events where charging is inconvenient and the map has to work offline.
