Dual ANT+ and Bluetooth is what keeps a sensor usable across head units · review
SIGMA DUO magnet-free cadence sensor review
A magnet-free cadence sensor from an established German maker, with a pivoting mount and both ANT+ and BLE, though the manufacturer publishes little detail.
Our conclusion Buy it for the brand fit with a SIGMA computer. On specification alone the dual-mode sensors here do more for less.
SIGMA’s DUO is the specialist-brand option in this hub, with a specification sheet that is remarkably brief.
What the manufacturer publishes
A pivoting function. High quality. Compatibility. Durability. ANT+ and BLE. Magnet-free cadence measurement.
That is genuinely the extent of it, and it is worth stating plainly rather than dressing up. Where a manufacturer publishes four adjectives and two protocols, this site reports four adjectives and two protocols.
What can be said
Magnet-free cadence measurement is the modern approach and the right one — nothing to align on a spoke, nothing to drift out of position. ANT+ and BLE together mean it pairs with head units and phones alike. The pivoting mount addresses a real fitting problem on frames where the chainstay sits close to the crank.
Cadence only
Unlike the dual-mode sensors in this hub, this measures cadence and nothing else. If you want speed as well, that is a second purchase, and the dual-mode sensors cost less individually.

What we rate and what we flag
Strengths
From SIGMA Sport, a specialist with decades in cycling instrumentation
Magnet-free, so there is no spoke magnet to align or knock out of position
A pivoting mount, which helps on crank arms where a fixed pod fouls the frame
Compromises
Not listed on the British or French markets
Cadence only — this does not do speed, unlike the dual-mode sensors here
The manufacturer publishes almost no detail: no battery life, no IP rating, no weight
Where this model is listed
A listing is not an offer: the reference exists on these stores, availability changes daily.

The questions riders ask
Does it measure speed as well?
No. SIGMA specifies this as a cadence sensor. The dual-mode sensors elsewhere in this hub switch between speed and cadence; this one does cadence only.
What is the pivoting function for?
It lets the sensor body angle relative to its mount, which matters on crank arms and frames where a fixed pod would foul the chainstay.

Speed/cadence · Bluetooth and ANT+ · IP67 · app compatible
A dual-protocol speed and cadence sensor with a published IP67 rating and stated compatibility with Zwift, Rouvy, Ride with GPS, Peloton and Wahoo apps.
Best for: Indoor training, where named app compatibility and a sealed housing both earn their place.
